Conclusion and takeaways

Hi, Iโ€™m Miriam Davidsonโ€”wife, mother of six kaโ€h, individual & couples therapist and intimacy educator.

  • Born and raised in Boston, MA, I moved to Eretz Yisrael in 2005. I received my degree from the PATH Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy in Israel, with specialty certification as a sex counselor and educator. Iโ€™m an IFS practitioner certified by the Israeli Institute for IFS (Internal Family Systems). I worked as an intern therapist at Milam (Family Counseling Center, a division of the Israeli Health Ministry) and I am also a certified JME Kallah Teacher.
  • In my work Iโ€™ve witnessed the central role marital intimacy plays in every coupleโ€™s lifeโ€”and how knowledge, tools and support can make all the difference. Itโ€™s my honor to help you tap into your innate capacity for growth, healing, and authentic connection.
  • I feel blessed to live and grow with my family in Yerushalayim.
  • I can be reached at miriamdavidson18@gmail.com
  • What is the format of the classes?
This is a 14-week teleconference course comprised of 10 classes + two Q&Aโ€™s during the course + two additional Q&Aโ€™s after the conclusion of the course. The 10 live classes take place on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (New York) / 5 p.m. Israel time.

The course starts November 9, 2022 and ends February 1, 2023, followed by two Q&Aโ€™s. This course is structured with two built-in breaks allowing for catch-up, processing, and questions.
The live classes are taught over teleconference. Dial-in access numbers will be provided for whichever country youโ€™re in.

  • What is the cost of the course?
The cost of the course isย $320.ย An early-bird special of $305 is offered to those who sign up by October 30. Payment is due in full upon registration. If youโ€™d like to pay in installments or use a different payment method please call 845-659-4795 or emailย ohelmiriam@gmail.com.
  • I canโ€™t join live at that time. Will there be recordings?
Yes, you can hear the recorded classes any time.

(As mentioned, all participants will join the live classes by dial-in teleconference. The only difference in the two registration methods is in how you want to access recordings.)

  • Is there any visual material accompanying the course?
Yes. At the start of the course youโ€™ll receive a booklet containing the course schedule, class outlines, diagrams and other visual material.
  • Can I join even though the course is already in progress?
Sure, you can join the course at any time and go at your own pace.ย I encourage you to pace yourself and listen to one class per week, since each one is packed with info and itโ€™s helpful to give yourself time to process it.
  • Do you have rabbinical backing?
I have the support and endorsement of HaRav Binyomin Moskovits, Shlita (Rosh Yeshiva, Yeshivas Midrash Shmuel in Shaarei Chessed, Yerushalayim). Halachic / hashkafic shailos in my work are brought to Rabbi Dovid Broch, Shlita (Shaarei Chessed), and Rabbi Dovid Ostroff, Shlita (Har Nof).
In addition, my husband is a chosson teacher who trained under Rabbi Yitzchak Silver from Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim, so I refer to his material as well.
  • What ages and stages is this course for?
Women married anywhere from one year onward have benefited from this course. One grateful participant recently said: โ€œWeโ€™ve been married over 40 years but weโ€™re currently in shanah rishona due to this course!โ€
  • Can I contact you with questions?
I welcome your feedback and questions, and I feel that questions are an important part of the learning process.
At any time during the course you can email or text me your questions. Twice during the course (following classes 4 and 8) Iโ€™ll compile answers to the questions that have come in till then, and youโ€™ll receive a recorded Q&A-only class providing answers to those questions.
As a bonus, each week youโ€™ll receive a recording of some of the most common Q&Aโ€™s that listeners like you have at that point in the course.
At the end of the course, weโ€™ll have two live Q&A classes addressing any questions that remain.
If after the completion of the course you feel you have unanswered questions, you may book a private appointment with me over Zoom.
  • How is the content different from what I learned as a kallah?
This course is geared for the married woman who is dealing with the realities of married life. Even in the best of marriages, sexual intimacy needs constant reassessment and chizuk as you and your husband move through different stages.
If you are struggling, this course may help you understand practical or emotional blocks that are keeping you from having a healthy and satisfying intimate relationshipโ€”and what you can do about it.
Itโ€™s my hope that this course helps you, at whatever stage you find yourself, explore your goals, obstacles and inroads to enhanced intimacy.
  • Iโ€™m a kallah teacher. Will this course be helpful for me?
Iโ€™ve been privileged to teach a number of kallah teachers in my courses, and while this course is not an official training, theyโ€™ve shared with me how much it impacted them personally and enriched their work.
  • My friend took one of your previous courses. How is this one different?
Over time Iโ€™ve expanded the course to address many of the topics and FAQโ€™s more in-depth. It started as a 5-part course andย as of November 2021ย is now 10 parts! So whileย mostย of the subjects were covered in earlierย courses, we spend more time on them and the classes are structured a bit differently.
  • I took your course and would love to join again! Is there any special rate for second-timers?
Sure, I welcome past participants to the current course. You can join at the reduced rate of $200.
  • My husband suffers from addiction / mental illness. Is this course for me?
This course may be helpful to you if he is receiving treatment. If you and/ or he are in therapy, I suggest you consult with your therapist about whether this course could help your particular situation.
If you and/ or he areย notย receiving treatment,ย I donโ€™t recommend you taking this course. Pleaseย see how you can address the problem together or seek professional support for yourself in the meantime.
  • Thereโ€™s abuse in my marriage. Can your course help?
If thereโ€™s any kind of spousal abuse (emotional/ verbal/ physical) occurring in your marriage, youโ€™re not alone, but do not sign up for this course. Instead, please seek professional support. You can call Shalom Taskforce at 1-800-799-SAFE(7233) or text โ€œSTARTโ€ to 88788. In Israel,ย call Tahel atย *2511.
  • Iโ€™m a survivor of sexual trauma. Will this course be helpful for me?
Due to the sensitive content of our classes, anyone may find them triggering, particularly if you have any kind of trauma in your background.
Depending on where you are in your healing journey, this course may be helpful to you. If you are currently in therapy, please consult with your therapist and decide accordingly.
If youโ€™ve never addressed your background, I encourage you to find a way to do so as a first step before learning about intimacy in this context.

My husband and I agree that this course was worth every penny!

Since your course ended, Iโ€™ve been re-listening to the classes to review and process everything. Every class is packed with info! Each time I listen, I learn even more.

Bโ€H our marriage is great and I wasnโ€™t sure I needed this course. But after the first couple of classes I realized how life-changing this information is!ย Iย seriously thinkย thisย course should be requiredย for every married woman.

Thank you for teaching with so much respect for each person and her individual process. I can honestly sayย that takingย your course changed my intimate life.

Iโ€™ve been married 14ย years but I feel like Iโ€™m in shanah rishona since I started these classes.ย ๐Ÿ™‚

We did the exercise you explainedย last week, and it was amazing how much it opened things up for us. We learned so much about each other that we hadnโ€™t known before.

This course has given me such a toolboxย of practical information.ย

You took my Bโ€H great marriage and have made it spectacular!

Intimacyย has gone from being a pressure to a pleasure.ย Iโ€™m so grateful to Hashem for sending your course my way.

Miriam creates a warm safe environment and makes you feel so NORMAL!ย She speaks from the heart making it so easy to connect to her. Miriam is the real deal.

Iโ€™ve been married 24 years and learned so much I never knew before!ย I listened to each class twice over and couldnโ€™t get enough.

Somehow you strike a balance of teaching the most explicit topicsย with so much openness and clarity butย in such an aidel, natural, tzniusdik way.ย

Thank you

  • Sound Familiar?
โ€œIntimacy was great when we were newlyweds, but now, with the chaos of daily living, somethingโ€™s gotten lost.โ€
โ€œIt feels like my husband and I are on different planets when it comes to this stuff. Plus, whenever one of us is in the mood, the other is too tired.โ€
โ€œI just donโ€™t enjoy intimacy at all, no matter what we try. I basically do it for my husband. Could it be that somethingโ€™s wrong with me?โ€
โ€œEver since I had my baby, intercourse is totally different than it was before.โ€
โ€œI canโ€™t seem to keep distracting thoughts out of my head during intimacy. Help!โ€
โ€œIt takes me forever to get aroused. How can I speed things up a little?โ€
    โ€œCan someone please tell me Iโ€™m normal?โ€

  • Youโ€™re not alone!
Sexual intimacy is complex and deeply personal. Desires and needs fluctuate throughout married life, and the husband-wife relationship is constantly evolving. So intimacy isโ€”understandablyโ€”an area weโ€™re constantly grappling with.
    Maybeโ€ฆ
โ€ฆYouโ€™re having trouble getting aroused and/or feeling pleasure during intimacy.
โ€ฆYou feel there is information youโ€™re missing, or questions you have.
โ€ฆYou learned about intimacy as a kallah, but now as a married womanโ€”familiar with the strengths and struggles unique to your marriageโ€”you are trying to put it into practice.
โ€ฆYou and your husband have such different needs when it comes to intimacy, and this is a constant source of tension.
โ€ฆYour kids are growing up and moving out, and with less people at home, you and your husband are working on rekindling the spark between you.
โ€ฆYou feel you need a booster to put intimacy back into its rightful position at the center of your marriageโ€”the beating heart of your home.
